An introduction to Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga with Tara Lee and Clare Daniell – understand the essentials and develop your skill as a yoga teacher

Do you feel anxious whenever a pregnant student turns up to your class? Would you like to feel more confident knowing when and how to safely incorporate pregnant and/or post natal women in your yoga classes?As a yoga teacher you have a responsibility to understand the changes that are taking place during pregnancy and postnatally so that you can teach safely and effectievely.
This one day workshop will help you to: 

  • Teach your pregnant students with confidence and advise them on specific modifications to their practice
  • Understand the hormonal and bodily changes that impact yoga practice for pre and post natal students
  • Know how to assess whether a student can join your open class and identify when it is best for them not to 
  • Discuss common problems that occur and how yoga can help

Tara Lee has been practicing yoga for almost 25 years and has taught thousands of pregnant women over the last 15 years, guiding them through their pregnancies and births.Tara has released 10 yoga DVDs which have sold over 150,000 copies and her Pregnancy Yoga DVD is a bestseller on Amazon. Tara co -authored a book ‘Pregnancy Health Yoga’.Writing regular blogs for the Huffington Post and Mind Body Green, Tara has featured in numerous yoga books and publications including The Times, Om magazine, Yoga magazine, ES magazine and W magazine.Tara has been teaching Pregnancy Yoga, Mother and Baby Yoga, and General Yoga classes at the Life Centre for 15 years. Clare Daniell is a student of yoga and a teacher of teachers. Discovering yoga in her teens, she trained to teach in her 20s, while working as an interior designer. Teaching biology and physiology to teachers, Clare learned about the value of understanding what lies beneath the skin, and the care and attention it can bring to personal practice. Clare weaves natural movement and embryological development philosophy into a practice that is grounded in the principles of Ayurveda, Tantra and Hatha yoga. She teaches a practice that balances strength with ease with the ultimate goal of facilitating meditation. Clare has worked alongside Tara for the last 5 years, co-writing and producing DVDs and trainings. Clare’s teaching has been enhanced and developed by a wonderful journey teaching pregnancy yoga since 2011 and becoming a mother in 2016.
